CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois pole vaulter Peter Geraghty has qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships to be held this weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Geraghty will compete on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m.

The senior pole vaulter is 13th on the entry list after clearing a season best height of 17'10.50" at the EIU Friday Night Meet.  Geraghty is a transfer from North Central College where he earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III level in the pole vault. 

This will mark the fourth straight year that EIU has sent at least one men's competitor to the NCAA Indoor National Championships. 

EIU's Jade Riebold also qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships ranking in the top 16 in the nation but will not compete due to injury.  Riebold placed second at last year's NCAA Championships.
