NEW ORLEANS – Eastern Illinois senior high jumper Haleigh Knapp earned second team All-American honors awarded by the USTFCCCA this week after completion of the NCAA Indoor Track National Championships.  Knapp placed 12th at the national championship event in the high jump.
 
Knapp became the second EIU female athlete to earn indoor All-American honors joining former pole vaulter Jade Riebold.
 
Earlier this season Knapp improved upon her own school record in the high jump clearing a height of 6'0.50" during the season.  She finished her indoor career as a four-time OVC champion in the event setting the EIU Lantz Fieldhouse and OVC Indoor Championship record as a junior.  This season she was named the OVC Indoor Female Field Athlete of the Year.
