Stewart, Swyney, and Atkinson Represent well in Springfield

Justin Stewart (junior), Nic Atkinson (2008), Kyle Swynenburg (2008) compete in the Springfield Road Runners Sizzlin MIle this past Wednesday, July 22nd.

Springfield, Il - 2 alumni and Junior Justin Stewart ran the Sizzlin Mile this past Wednesday, all 3 posting times sub 4:30, and all finishing top 10.

Alumni Nic Atkinson (2008), took 2nd place overall with a time of 4:24.73 - less than a second behind the first place finisher.  Junior Justin Stewart finished 5th with a time of 4:29.53, and alumni Kyle Swynenburg finished 6th with a time of 4:30.93.

All three athletes are currently in the midst of their summer training, running anywhere from 40 to 100 miles a week - so they aren't exactly in prime form for a middle-distance event like the mile.  Nonetheless, personal bests were set for Swynenburg and Stewart, and a near PR for Atkinson.

Full results from the Sizzlin Mile are available here

The cross country season is just around the corner, with practice starting in less than a month.

Alumni is plural, alumnus is single so it should be "alumnus Kyle Synenburg"

Also, there is a margin collapse at the bottom.  If I ever fail to respond to any e-mails or anything of the sorts, check any mental hospitals because I will be there drinking and smoking my brains out because those margin collapses are driving me crazy.

I used my awesome journalism skills and wrote this up in about 3 minutes.

The margin collapse has been taken care of, please don't check into any hospitals my sweet runnion, it was just some extra p tags at the bottom of the page.

P.S. thanks for the info on alumnus vs alumni.... now suck it.
