EIU Track Schedule Set For 2013-14

Panthers to host six home meets - 3 indoor, 3 outdoor

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois track will feature three home meets during the indoor season and three home meets during the outdoor season as the 2013-14 schedule has been released. The EIU Early Bird will kick off the season on Friday, Dec. 6 at Lantz Fieldhouse.

The other two home indoor meets this season include the John Craft Invite on Saturday, Jan.25 and the EIU Friday Night Special on Feb. 21. EIU's road meets include the Illinois Invite, Notre Dame Meyo and Grand Valley Big Meet. The 2014 Ohio Valley Conference Championships will be hosted by Tennessee State.

The outdoor schedule begins on March 29 at the SIU Saluki Invite. EIU's first home outdoor meet is the Neil Moore Multis and EIU Big Blue Classic on April 3-5 at O'Brien Field. The other two home meets this season are the EIU Tuesday Tweener on April 22 and the EIU Last Chance on May 10. EIU will compete in road meets at Western Kentucky and Vanderbilt during the regular season along with a select group of qualifiers in the Drake Relays and Louisville Twilight. The 2014 OVC Championship will be at SIU Edwardsville.
