The Panther men secured 78 total team points to out-pace Loyola (Chicago), Bradley, Saint Louis, Western Illinois, and Butler.  The host Illini squad earned the team title off 266 points, followed by runner-up, and fellow Ohio Valley Conference foe Southeast Missouri, with a 124 point tally.

The EIU women, meanwhile, scored 85 points to just trail champ Illinois (145) and Northern Illinois (103), yet out-scored SEMO, Ball State, Loyola (Chicago), Western Illinois, Bradley, Butler, and Saint Louis.

Junior Calvin Edwards led all EIU runners with a first place finish in the 400-Meter Dash with a time of 48.32.  When converting the sprinters mark to an oversized/banked track, he now ranks among the Top 15 in the country.

A pair of Panthers also earned runner-up honors as senior Jordan Wallace came in second in the 3000-Meter Run off a time of 10:07.08, which now ranks as the 7th fastest Panther mark.

Senior Aviance King followed with a second place mark in the High Jump off his leap of two meters.

Many more Panthers also earned personal best times and marks in the all-day event.

Both Eastern units will now prepare for next weekend's home John Craft Invitational inside the Lantz Fieldhouse on Sat., Jan. 24.
