High School: Keith was an all state cross country his senior year, placing 13th at the IHSA cross country class A state final…was also a state qualifier in cross country his junior year…holds the record at Monticello High School for three miles (15:22)…was part of an all-state 4x800 relay his junior year, placing third…state champion his senior year in the 4x800 relay…IHSA class A state record holder in the 4x800 relay his senior year…was sectional champion his senior year in the 4x800, 4x400 and 1600.  Earned 9 varsity letters in cross country (4), track and field (4) and basketball (1) for his father, Coach Jeff Butler, and Coach Randy Moss.

 

Personal: Keith is majoring in Biology…No.1 sports highlight was obtaining the IHSA Class A state record in the 4x800 relay…father and high school cross country and track and field coach Jeff Butler is a former basketball player at EIU…son of Mary and Jeff Butler.
