Track Wraps Up Stay At Drake Relays

Joe Calio places 18th in steeplechase on Saturday

DES MOINES, Iowa – Eastern Illinois track wrapped up its two day stay at the Drake Relays on Saturday taking place in the men's steeplechase. Joe Calio placed 18th in the event with a time of 9:24.05.

EIU competed in a total of seven events at the Drake Relays with senior Peter Geraghty winning the men's pole vault on Friday.

The Panthers return to action next weekend competing at the 2014 Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at SIU Edwardsville. EIU is the five-time defending OVC outdoor champ on both the men's and women's side.
