Boey Set For NCAA Track Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa - Eastern Illinois junior Zye Boey will compete in the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track National Championships on Wednesday at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. This will be the second time in his EIU career that Boey has advanced to the National Championships. He placed 26th in 2009.
Boey earned his spot at this year's championship based on an 11th place finish at the NCAA West Regional recently held in Eugene, Ore. The 100m dash semfinals take place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. with the championship set for Friday.
EIU has now advanced an athlete to the NCAA National Championships each of the last three years. Boey competed in the 100m dash in 2009 while Kandace Arnold competed in the women's shot put last year.
