EASTERN: Shawana is a junior sprinter... scored points for EIU OVC Indoor Championship team with top five finishes in the 60 meters and 200 meters... set personal record of 24.89 in 200 meters at Notre Dame Last Chance which ranks 3rd on EIU career list... 60 meter time of 7.76 at OVC’s ranks 6th at EIU... first team All-OVC in 100 meter and 200 meter dash, winning championship in both events... advanced to NCAA Regionals... ranks 3rd on EIU career list with 24.01 in 200 meters at OVC Championships... ranks 6th on EIU career list with a 11.90 in 100 meters at Vanderbilt... first team All-OVC on 4x100 relay team, second team All-OVC on 4x400 relay team.. both relay teams rank 9th on EIU career list... ran an EIU season best 12.44 in the 100 meter dash at the SIU Edwardsville Twilight... had second best mark in the 200 meter dash running a 25.57 in the prelims of the 2006 OVC Outdoor Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped for coach Craig Collins at NLCP High School earning varsity letters in track and cheerleading… team captain… set school record for 100 and 200… National Honor Society... won City Championships in 55 meter dash and 200 meter dash.
