High School: Nic was all state in track and field his senior year in the 4x800 relay (9th) and the 4x400 relay (5th)…was a member of state qualifying cross country teams in 2003 and 2004…earned eight varsity letters in cross country (3), track and field (3) and basketball (2).
Personal: Is majoring in accounting…No.1 sports highlight was being a part of three sectional championship teams his senior year of high school…son of Rick and Nancy Atkinson…Nic’s brother steepleweb Atkinson currently competes in track and field for EIU, and brother Andy Atkinson played golf at St. Johns University (MN).
