Boey, Riebold Named Second Team All-American

NEW ORLEANS -  Eastern Illinois track and field had two athletes named second team All-American by the USTFCCCA following their performances at last week's NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.  Zye Boey and Jade Riebold were both honored by the national organization.

Boey was a second team All-American in the 200m as he finished 15th at the NCAA National Meet with a time of 21.32.  Boey earned first team All-American indoor honors last season placing 7th in the 200m.  During his indoor track career he set the school records in the 60m and 200m while making three appearances at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

Riebold was a second team All-American in the pole vault as she finished 14th at the NCAA National Meet clearing a height of 13'9.25”.  Riebold became the first EIU female athlete to earn a trip to the NCAA Indoor National Championships and became the program's first indoor female track All-American.  A transfer into the program, Riebold set the school record in the pole vault this season and was named the OVC Indoor Female Field Athlete of the Year.
