Track Adds Three More First Place Finishes

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Eastern Illinois added three more first place finishes to its weekend tally as the Panther track and field team wrapped up competition at the Indiana Relays on Saturday.  Katie RyanJade Riebold and Cody Boarman all posted first place finishes.

Boarman won the main section of the men's 400m dash with a time of 48.98.  Christian Kolbwas second in the morning session of the 400m with a time of 52.50.  On the women's side Ryan won the women's 400m morning session with a time of 59.84.

Riebold won the women's pole vault invitational with a height of 13'9.25”.  Mick Viken was second in the men's pole vault invitational with a height of 17'8.50” based on number of attempts.  The 17'8.50” matches Viken's school record set last week at the EIU John Craft.

Maura Cummins was fourth in the women's high jump clearing a height of 5'8.50”.  That height landed Cummins in third place on the EIU career list.  Jalisa Paramore also posted an EIU career top ten mark finishing third in the 60m hurdles.  Her time of 8.54 ranks fifth at EIU.

EIU has a pair of strong finishes in the men's and women's 800m invitational race.  Erika Ramos was third in the women's 800m with a time of 2:11.31.  Basting was fifth in the men's 800m with a time of 1:53.32.

Jaimee Roy and Danny Harris competed in the long jump invitational for the men and women.  Harris was second in the men's event with a jump of 22'7”.  Roy was seventh in the women's event covering 17'7”.

Dominique Hall placed eighth in the men's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.15.  The men's 4x800 relay placed sixth with a time of 7:56.77.  The relay team included Ryan Ballard, Basting,Brock Ramos and Mark Pedziwiatr.
