Track Posts Five Friday Top Ten Finishes

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Eastern Illinois opened up day one competition at the Notre Dame Meyo Invite with the Panthers track and field team posting five top ten finishes with two athletes posted EIU career top ten marks.

Annemarie Reid had the highest individual finish for the Panthers on Friday placing fifth in the pole vault with a height of 12'1.50”.  That height ranks fourth on the EIU career list. 

In the men's pole vault Eric Gordon placed seventh with a mark of 15'9”.

Jalisa Paramore and Dominique Hall both had solid performances in the women's and men's 60m hurdles.  Paramore was eighth in the women's event with a time of 8.60.  Hall was eighth in the men's event with a time of 8.09.

Maura Cummins rounded out the EIU top ten finishers placing tenth in the high jump clearing 5'4.25”.

Pablo Ramirez finished just outside the top ten competing in a competitive men's 5K as he finished in 11th.  His time of 14:36.15 was good enough to rank tenth on the EIU career list.
