Panthers have four athletes ranked nationally in the Top 20
 
CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois track and field returns to action this weekend as the Panthers compete in the Northern Iowa Invite.  EIU won its own John Craft Invite last weekend in Lantz Fieldhouse.

The Panthers currently have four athletes ranked in the top 20 nationally in indoor events.  Johnathan Boey is 20th in the NCAA in the 60m dash with a season best time of 6.71 set over the weekend.  Mick VikenPeter Geraghty and Jade Riebold are all ranked in the top ten in the men's and women's pole vault.  Viken has a season best height of 17'7" set over the weekend which ranks him 8th in the nation.  Geraghty is ranked 9th with a height of 17'6.50".  On the women's side Riebold is 2nd in the nation with a season best of 14'1.25" set in early January at the Illini Open.

Boey, Viken and Riebold all rank first in the OVC in their respective events.  The Panthers have four other athletes that enter the weekend ranked first in the OVC this season in their events.  Calvin Edwards has the best 200m time in the OVC this season.  Ryan Ballard has the best men's 800m time this season.  On the women's side Kristen Parishas the league's best time in the 800m and Angelica Anyaogu has the top 60m time.
