BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois sophomore sprinter Calvin Edwards was named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week for the second straight week.  The Panthers resume action this weekend at the Grand Valley State Big Meet.

Edwards won the 200m dash at the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational with a personal best time of 21.21 which ranks fourth on the EIU career list.  It was Edwards third straight week winning the 200m dash as his time is currently first in the OVC and 29th nationally.  He also ran the second leg of the Panthers Distance Medley Relay which placed fourth with a time of 10:13.60.
