Track Opens Action At Indiana State

Panthers post a pair of third place finishes at Gibson Invite

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Eastern Illinois track and field opened up action at the Indiana State Gibson Invite with a pair of third place finishes in women's field events.

Janie Howse placed third in the women's hammer with a throw of 162'10". Bryn Buckwalter placed ninth and Nicollette Diana placed tenth in the hammer.

Freshman Kaitlyn Ebert placed third in the women's javelin with a throw of 119'7". Diana placed 11th in the javelin.

On the men's side Adam Kessler placed 13th in the men's hammer.

EIU will send a full squad to the meet on Saturday with events beginning at 10 a.m. (central).
