EIU Hosts Peace To Meece 5K Saturday

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois will open the 2011 cross country season this Saturday at 8 a.m. as the Panthers host the third annual Peace To Meece 5K. The event serves as the Panthers alumni meets as current team members and alumni of the program participate in the meet.
EIU opens the regular season on Sept. 9 when they host the Walt Crawford Panther Open at 4:30 p.m. on the Panther Trail. EIU was picked to finish second in the preseason OVC poll on both the men's and women's side.
