Panthers compete at ISU Midweek Open
 
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Eastern Illinois competed on Wednesday evening at the Indiana State Midweek Open with the Panthers turning in several first place finishes.  EIU will send nine individuals and six relay teams to compete in the Drake Relays this weekend.

Two EIU women turned in first place finishes that ranked third on the EIU career list.  Bryn Buckwalter won the women's shot put with a throw of 47'3".  Annemarie Reidwon the pole vault with a height of 12'9.50".

EIU won both the men's and women's 100m dash.  Anita Saffa won the women's race with a time of 12.54.  Johnathan Boey won the men's race with a time of 10.77.

EIU won both the men's and women's 1500m run.  Ruth Garippo won the women's race with a time of 4:56.48.  Mark Pedziwiatr won the men's race with a time of 3:59.18.

EIU swept the men's and women's discus.  Janie Howse won the women's discus with a throw of 137'9".  Garrett Jensen won the men's discus with a mark of 147'6".

Michael Brown added a first place finish for the Panthers in the 800m run winning with a time of 1:54.18.

Tori MasterAmina Jackson and Ashley Fouch added first place finishes for the EIU women.  Master won the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.12.  Jackson won the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.31.  Fouch won the 400m dash with a time of 58.19.?
