Track Posts Eight First Place Finishes

EIU had a sweep in the men's 400m hurdles as senior Danny Trevor won the event with a time of 52.45.  He was followed by Christian Kolb in second at 54.16 and Cory Householder in third at 57.48.

Chrisford Stevens, David Johansson and Eric Gordon had first place finishes in field events for the Panthers.  Stevens won the triple jump with a mark of 46'1.50".  Johansson won the javelin with a throw of 200'8".  Gordon won the pole vault with a height of 15'7.75".  Teammate Elliot Krause was third with a height of 14'8".  In the women's pole vault Sadie Lovett and Annemarie Reid both tied for second with a height of 12'6.25".

Calvin Edwards won the men's 400m with a time of 47.91.  In the women's 400m Dhiaa Dean was second with a time of 55.58.  Ashley Fouch was third with a time of 57.08.
Riley McInerney won the men's steeplechase with a time of 9:15.27.  Teammate Will Giroux was third with a time of 10:00.24.  Caroline Collett was second in the women's steeplechase with a time of 12:01.04.

The Panther women's 4x100 relay placed first with a time of 3:48.32.  The women's relay included Amina Jackson, Darneisha Spann, Kristen Paris and Dhiaa Dean.  EIU's men's 4x400 relay placed second with a time of 3:14.68.  The EIU relay included Edwards, Derek Williamson, Ephraim Dorsey and Devente Smith.

Ryan Ballard picked up the final first place finish for the Panthers winning the last event on the schedule, the men's 5K.  Ballard won with a time of 15:40.32.  Greg Rogerswas second with a time of 15:52.90.

Janie Howse had a pair of top three finishes in throws.  Howse was third in the discus with a throw of 135'5".  She was third in the shot put at 45'1.50".  Teammate Bryn Buckwalter was second in the shot put with a throw of 46'7.50".  Jackie Jones was second in the women's high jump clearing the bar at 5'6".

On the track Jamal Robinson and Davion McManis were second and third in the men's 100m.  Robinson posted a time of 10.65.  McManis was in at 10.80.  McManis would come back to finish second in the men's 200m dash with a time of 21.93.  Briana Walker was third in the women's 200m with a time of 24.76.

In the women's hurdle events Amina Jackson was second in the women's 400m with a time of 1:01.25.  Katie Ryan and Darneisha Spann were second and third in the women's 100m hurdles.  Ryan had a time of 13.89.  Spann had a time of 14.27.
