EIU Posts Six First Place Track Finishes

CHARLESTON, Ill. - Eastern Illinois track and field posted six first place finishes in its own NCAA Last Chance Meet held on Friday at O'Brien Field.  EIU will send a group of athletes to the Louisville Twilight next weekend.

Jalisa Paramore was a dual event winner for the Panther women.  She took home gold in the 100m hurdles and the long jump.  Paramore's first place time in the 100m hurdles was 13.73.  Her winning mark in the long jump was 20'1.75".

Kristen Paris posted the other first place finish for the EIU women winning the 800m run with a time of 2:12.72.

On the men's side Kaleel Johnson posted a top ten EIU career time winning the 100m dash with a time of 10.43.

Mick Viken won the men's pole vault clearing 17'6.25".

David Johansson won the men's javelin with a throw of 184'5".
